Good job for nachos/drinks sales!!!

Heyo! Good job everybody in putting in your effort this past 3days for the sales espicially the fundraising comm for organising, despite having chemistry and economics test to cope with too. I’m sure most of us have stretched our pockets too to buy the nachos and drinks ourselves haha, but its for a good cause! Once again baik arh everyone. Yesterday, there was also this meeting that we (Ms Ng, MS, ST JX,WT, WI,YY and myself) had with the restroom association guy Sanjay who came down to our school. He gave us alot of info of what we can do with the RAS like we can go follow Sanjay on his talks with schools (limited to max5 ppl each time) and we can also give talks too ourselves but it wont be everyone, probably the few who will be in charge of the teaching in Sikkim. This can count for our pre-trip project. He also gave a few pointers on what to focus on when building the toilets. A few of us will be going down to the world toilet organization next mon to find out the requirements of the toilets too. Thats all for the updates that i have for you all, remember to mug hard for promos and hang in there it will be over very soon then we can really enjoy ourselves!! =)

Cheers

first official fund-raising!

ello! tomorrow will be our fist official fund-raising activity for the Sikkim trip! aren’t you guys all excited? well, i am. i’m confident that the response from our fellow Victorians will be enough for us to sell off all our stock, then we’ll make our first 1K! isn’t it amazing? okay i think everyone has had enough of the amazing line. at least we all can remember something from chem lecture. heh. anyway, all those doing their shifts tomorrow, make sure to be enthusiastic and try your very best to attract/pull/drag/force customers to come and buy our nachos and drinks! we can try making an on the spot live advertisement whilst waiting for customers to come. use your imagination! i guess i’d better revise through my chemistry for the lecture test tomorrow. cheers to our nachos and drinks!

Keep the blog alive!

Hey ppl if you have not realised yet the blog has been around for quite awhile and there are not much posts yet. If you have anything to say you can put it on the blog eg. if your comm had a meeting with ms ng you can put it on the blog to update us. You can also state how you feel about the upcoming sikkim project and also upcoming pre-project activities. Another point not related to the blog, for every comm that has a meeting with ms ng or any other meeting, can we have someone from the comm to volunteer to do the minutes during the meeting to keep the rest of us updated. All minutes that are done should be placed on the blog, apart from sending to the respective people. For any letters or docs that you will be sending to external organisations, pls use the common mail sikkimvjcodac25th@hotmail.com too.

Updates!

A new forum has been established. Access is found at the sidebar or through here. This forum will help us communicate easily with our online community as well as the VJC community. In addition, the discussion page as well as the tagboard has been scrapped. Hope all this is better! Also, please feedback if you want a tagboard to be found accessible on all pages of the Forum because it can easily be done!

Thanks!

23 hearts.

These few weeks have not been easy for some of us. BW, FT, GT & JN- We all know that you guys are trying your very best to convince your parents to allow you guys to go to sikkim with us. Just want to say that, you guys will always have our support! Never give up because we will never give up on you guys: D

No matter what the decision turns out to be, we’ll all respect your and your parents’ decision. Although there may not be 23 of us climbing that mountain and building ecotoilets PHYSICALLY, i believe that there will still be 23 HEARTS doing these things together!

Don’t forget we still have pre-OT and post-OT! With so many activities like movie marathons, ODAC concert?, post-mortem going on, don’t fret that you’ll miss out a lot!

For those whose parents have allowed us to go for the trip, let’s not take this opportunity for granted. We should all cherish the faith and respect they have given us! And do study hard for promos so that we’ll not have problems with parents and teachers for our results! It’ll all be worth it for the trip: D

23 HEARTS IN SIKKIM: D
